Bachelor’s Program in Advanced Material Sciences (BPAMS)
was established in 2015. In the 2015-2016 academic year, the
    BPAMS accepted 45 undergraduates students.

2. Features
Main part of our feature is to emphasize the current industry
development trend, and to combine with the basic course of
physics, chemistry and biology. In addition, we also emphasize
the synthesis of nanomaterial, the gauge of physical characters
of materials, the design of electronic component, and the
application of biotechnology. In addition, we provide research seminar course to let senior students
join the material-related laboratories, and to do synthesis, examination, production and application
    of materials.

3. Curriculum Plan
The curriculum plan of BPAMS includes: common compulsory courses, professional compulsory
courses, professional elective courses and free elective courses. The minimum graduate credits are
128, include 84 required course credits (26 credits for common compulsory courses, 58 credits for
professional compulsory courses), and 44 elective course credits (24 credits for professional elective
courses, 20 credits for free elective courses).

(a) Nanomaterial-related course: Nanoscience, Electronic circuits (I).
    (b) Optoelectronic material-related courses: Organic Materials, Nanoscience, Applied Electromagnetism,
          Electronic circuits (I), Optoelectronic Materials.

(c) Biomedical material-related courses: Fundamental Biology, Biomedical Material.

(d) Macromolecular material-related courses: Organic Chemistry, Organic Materials,
         Introduction to Polymeric Materials.

(e) Cross-field courses: General Chemistry, General Chemistry Laboratory, General Physics,
General Physics Laboratory, Calculus, Introduction of Materials Science, Material Science Experiment (I),
Material Science Experiment (II), Structure and Measurement of Material (I),
Structure and Measurement of Material (II), Research on Advanced Materials (I).

4. Faculty
The faculty of BPAMS consists of all the full-time and adjunct teachers from Departments of
Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. If you want to know more about the BPAMS faculty, please
access to the official websites of each Department for detail information.

5. Career Perspective
    (1) Advanced Studies: students can apply for the material-related undergraduate programs of the
         universities in Taiwan or overseas.
    (2) Career Employment: the BPAMS provides solid curriculum plan (basic sciences and applied
technology) which is able to act as a foundation for the development of future technology.
Students are encouraged to get their job in the field of (a) design and synthesis of nano-,
optoelectronic, biomedical and macromolecular materials; (b) the precision measuring
          instruments; and (c) biomedical industry.
